Healthy Breaks

At St. Eugene's PS, we encourage healthy food choices, including:

• Daily Breakfast Club from 8am.

• Daily fruit break.

• Staying hydrated, with access to water throughout the day.

• Promotion of healthy choices for packed lunches.

Why is it important to enjoy a healthy break / lunch in school?

• Childhood is an important time to establish good eating and drinking habits for future health.

• Gives pupils the knowledge and opportunity to make healthier choices.

• Helps with pupils’ concentration and focus in the classroom.

• Encourages suitable drinks and snacks to help prevent tooth decay.

• Helps to meet our target of five or more portions of fruit and vegetables a day.
