Eco School

Our Green Team lead the way with all the eco-activities at St. Eugene’s PS.  We meet regularly to plan and promote our activities and share our ideas through school assemblies, competitions and on our website. We take part in Fairtrade Fortnight, European Day of Languages, Recycle Week, Cycle to School Week, the Big Walk and Wheel and other initiatives throughout the year. We are proud to have recently achieved the Eco-Schools Green Flag award and the Sustrans Silver Active Travel Award, as well as receiving a biodiversity grant from BUPA Groundworks.  These activities involved the whole school community, as well as pupils from local post-primary schools, and support from local environmental charities. We’re looking forward to another great year of eco-activities at St. Eugene’s PS.
