Welcome to St Eugene’s P.S. and Nursery Unit, Derry
This website aims to give you a flavour of the high standards and extensive menu of opportunity and achievement that the children of our school enjoy and experience every day.
St Eugene’s has a very long history (170 years) of meeting and serving the needs of children in the heart of one of Derry City’s oldest communities. We are a loving, caring, diverse and inclusive family-oriented school where the whole community share the common goal of supporting each child to do their very best. We hold the title ‘School of Sanctuary’ since 2020. We welcome children of all cultures,faiths and backgrounds.
The exceptionally skilled and dedicated staff strive to create a vibrant, warm and welcoming environment where every child can thrive and grow into kind, compassionate and confident citizens of the future. We equip our pupils to live successfully in a multi-cultural and technological society.
We acknowledge the great relationships we have always had with our families and we recognise that it is only when home and school work closely together that the child’s best interests are served.
